Requirements
You need the following:
- Smartphone (Android or iOS)
- PH Cellphone Number
- Valid ID (Government ID) such as:
- UMID
- Passport

You must also be a Filipino Citizen, residing in the Philippines.
ING Mobile App
You can only apply or open an account via a mobile app. Unfortunately, you cannot open an account via web browser. This is because you need a camera. It will require you to take a selfie, blink, and smile! This is also to take a picture of your valid ID.
Download it on Google Playstore or Apple App Store. Just search “ING Philippines”.
Steps
Open the ING app. Enable app access to those 3 services (as shown below).
Tap “Open an Account” and “Agree & Continue”.
Input your name, email address, and PH mobile phone number.
Verify your identity. It will use you mobile phone’s camera. Take note of the instructions. Selfie time!
It is required to take a photo of your valid ID too.
Input the required details such as country where you file income tax, your source of income, purpose of opening an account, etc.
Then you’re done! Please wait for ING to verify your application. Wait for the verification. You don’t have an account number yet as shown below if it’s not fully verified.
When verified, you now see your savings account! That’s it!
Congratulations! you can now transfer funds from your other banks via Instapay or Pesonet.
